Hello Flight Experience participants:
The Wings of Valor DC-3 is currently down for some winter maintenance. We had a successful November/December 2014 with the DC-3 flying over 300 guests.
Due to a higher than normal oil consumption on our Right Engine, we decided to remove the engine and have a professional Radial Engine repair shop perform a top end, and any other work required. After this is complete we should have a engine ready for many years of usage. As of March 1, 2015 the engine is still at the repair shop. Our goal is to get the engine back and mounted on the plane in time for the Riverside Air Show on March 28th. However, if the engine shop takes too much longer we will run into a scheduling conflict with the mechanic who will be reinstalling the engine on the airframe. We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will not run into any issues.
Our T-6 Texan and Stearman are on the flight line and available for rides and flight training. If you would like to schedule a flight please give us a call.
Thank You and we look forward to flying with you in the future.
